Meet Our 2025 Keynote Speaker: Rev. Mike Moffitt
Rev. Mike Moffitt is an Associate Pastor at University Place Presbyterian Church (UPPC) in University Place, Washington (next to Tacoma.) He’s been in that role since June 2017.
He enjoys learning and teaching others to live an abundant lifestyle as a disciple of Jesus.
Mike first served as a school chaplain teaching religious studies, guiding community service, and offering spiritual and relational friendship to students and staff. It was an energizing and fun twelve years with excellent people.
Mike was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2008. He earned his Master of Divinity from Regent College (’05). Prior to that Mike volunteered full time in ministry in Belfast, Northern Ireland (2000-1). He also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University (’99).
In addition to his pastoral work, Mike is the host of the Bible Jazz podcast, where he engages guests from all over the US and world in candid conversations about the Bible and how it matters in our lives. Bible Jazz is a joy to host and produce, and Mike is thrilled to have posted 252 episodes (and counting!)
Mike loves listening to and playing music, practicing Taekwondo (in which he holds a fourth-degree black belt), spending time with friends and family, and learning to listen for God in ordinary circumstances.
Registration isn't Rocket Science
Cascade Family Bible Camp's registration is all online and easier than building and launching a rocket with your seven year old. You can register to camp in your tent or RV, or choose to stay in a comfortable cabin. Along with inspiring speakers and great kids programs, Warm Beach Camp is a great outdoor facility with plenty to do. And, yes, you can actually make a rocket with your kids, shoot it high into the crisp July sky on Sunday afternoon as spectators cheer, and then watch as it slowly descends into one of the nearby towering cedar trees.
