Aaron Baart is a seasoned Christian leader serving as Chief of Staff and Dean of Chapel at Dordt University, where he shapes spiritual formation and institutional strategy in collaboration with the president’s cabinet.
A Dordt alumnus who returned to campus in 2010, Aaron offers oversight for Campus Ministries—leading chapel services, small groups, local and global mission trips, and student ministry initiatives. As Dean of Chapel, he has shepherded chapel programming for over a decade until its recent transition to new leadership.
In his administrative capacity as Chief of Staff, Aaron collaborates with senior leadership on vision-casting and strategic initiatives. He also co-conceived the resource “Missions Upside Down,” a six-part video study resource designed to catalyze deeper, more sustainable global mission practices aligning with indigenous leadership.
Aaron is also a published author. He co‑authored Vivid: Deepening Your Colors (2013), a faith-based resource exploring identity, calling, and kingdom across diverse audiences.
Residing in Sioux Center with his wife, author Nicole Baart, and their five children, Aaron draws from rich personal experience in parenting, ministry, and community leadership.
Cascade Family Bible Camp's registration is all online and easier than building and launching a rocket with your seven year old. You can register to camp in your tent or RV, or choose to stay in a comfortable cabin. Along with inspiring speakers and great kids programs, Warm Beach Camp is a great outdoor facility with plenty to do. And, yes, you can actually make a rocket with your kids, shoot it high into the crisp July sky on Sunday afternoon as spectators cheer, and then watch as it slowly descends into one of the nearby towering cedar trees.
For 2024 the board of Cascade Family Bible Camp is offering your entire camp experience for 25% off to first time attenders. We believe that once you experience the joys of our camp you won't ever want to miss another summer.
The best investment you can make is in your family and faith. In a busy culture we too often ignore both. Cascade Family Bible Camp offers a weekend each year to retreat from the hectic pace of life and invest in life's greatest treasures. Our campers are all ages, and we have engaging programs every day for kids and adults of all ages. Read more
